Chickpea roast

Here's the first of a scheduled series of tasty, cheap and nutritious dishes brought to you by The Chick Pea.

Ingredients.
A tin of chick peas
Shredded carrots
Shredded cabbage
Olive oil
Salt and pepper
Turmeric (optional)
Garlic (optional)

To make.
1. Mix the ingredients up in a bowl and mash down with a fork.
2. Mix up again. Mash down again.
3. Place in a ramekin and pack down tightly.
4. Put into a pre-heated oven for 15 minutes or until golden.
5. SERVE

This dish can be served on its own. I like with some hot pepper sauce on the side.
You may prefer to add into a bun or pitta bread or even bread for a sandwich. Also, homemade potato wedges work a treat.
